A Miami-based artist duo working across performance, video, and immersive media has been named among the five recipients of the 2026 Knight Arts + Tech Fellowship.

LIZN’BOW, the collaborative practice of Liz Ferrer and Bow Ty, is part of this year’s cohort selected by United States Artists. Each fellow receives an unrestricted $50,000 grant to support ongoing work in technology-driven artistic practice.

Supported by the Knight Foundation, the annual fellowship focuses on artists using tools such as augmented reality, digital fabrication, and interactive systems to explore how technology shapes everyday life. Rather than treating technology as purely functional, the program highlights work that engages with its cultural and social impact.

LIZN’BOW’s work blends pop aesthetics with critical perspectives, creating environments that function as installations, performances, and digital interfaces at once. Their projects often invite audiences to move through layered spaces where sound, image, and interaction unfold together.

The 2026 cohort also includes Miguel Novelo and Rhonda Holberton from San Jose, along with Taeyoon Choi and Wesley Taylor from Detroit. Across disciplines, the selected artists examine how technology influences human connection, physical space, and collective experience.

Since launching in 2021, the Knight Arts + Tech Fellowship has supported 25 artists working at the intersection of art and technology. The program continues to position creative practice as a space for questioning and reshaping how digital systems interact with the world around us.
