Lasvit Unveils 'Herbarium Radiant' & 'Magma' at Design Miami: A Fusion of Glass, Light, and Innovation
Lasvit presents Herbarium Radiant at Design Miami, a large-scale glass and light installation made from a groundbreaking new type of glass that integrates repurposed waste - specifically, rare lanthanide oxides extracted from recycled electromagnets - allowing users to highlight or suppress certain colors in its light. Lasvit also presents Magma, a striking series of unique vases inspired by the raw, transformative power of molten rock. A third element, titled Grain of Sand, draws inspiration from Miami’s coastal landscape. This mirrored installation captures the transformative journey of sand as it becomes glass, serving as a metaphor for the glassmaking process.
