Kitchen 57 Turns One: South Miami’s Beloved Neighborhood Spot Celebrates a Delicious Year

ree

Since swinging open its doors in November 2024, Kitchen 57 has quickly carved out a place as South Miami’s favorite spot to eat, drink and gather. Beloved for its craveable dishes, creative cocktails and community-first spirit, the restaurant is now celebrating its first trip around the sun and they’re doing it the only way they know how: with bubbles, bites and a whole lot of local love.

On Wednesday, November 12, Kitchen 57 is marking its first anniversary with complimentary champagne, exclusive one-day-only food specials, and the same inviting, neighborhood-loving energy that’s made it such a standout in the South Miami dining scene.

To sweeten the celebration, the restaurant is also hosting a multi-day social media giveaway from November 12 through November 16. Diners who share their experience on Instagram and tag @kitchen57miami with the hashtag #Kitchen57Turns1 will be entered to win prizes like brunch for two, a $57 gift card, a curated dessert tasting for four and even a Grand Prize Chef’s Dinner for two, personally crafted by Chef-Owner Michael Altman.

“Our first year has been nothing short of incredible,” says Altman, a Culinary Institute of America graduate with over 30 years in the industry. “Seeing familiar faces come back for favorite meals and meeting new people who quickly become regulars has been the most rewarding part of building Kitchen 57. We’re just getting started, and I couldn’t be more excited about what’s ahead. South Miami feels like home, and we’re here for the long run.”

A Menu Made for Moments

With its mantra to “Eat. Drink. Gather.,” Kitchen 57 delivers a dining experience that’s polished yet playful. Brunch regulars rave about the Popovers with homemade berry jam and Monster Chicken & Waffles, while dinner guests dig into hits like the Truffle Mushroom Pizza, Cioppino and Rigatoni Pomodoro. At the bar, expect sips that surprise -like the “Hibiscus Margarita,” “Kitchentini” or the mezcal-laced “Just in Thyme.”

The restaurant also recently expanded its wines-by-the-glass program, using the Coravin system to pour premium labels like Nickel & Nickel Kenefick Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon and Red Schooner by Caymus, so no full bottle commitment needed.

The Community Table

Whether you're popping in for lunch, gathering for a birthday or just unwinding at the bar, Kitchen 57 feels like a second home. Its private dining room makes it an ideal location for events, while the weekly specials and seasonal menus keep locals coming back for something new.

The anniversary event is open to all, with a festive vibe that reflects the heart of the neighborhood Kitchen 57 has helped shape over the past year.
