Kaori Brings Pan-Asian Cuisine and Hi-Fi Culture to Miami’s Brickell

Kaori is a modern Pan-Asian restaurant in Brickell that blends thoughtful design, layered flavors, and curated sound into a cohesive dining experience. Located at 871 South Miami Avenue, next to SLS LUX Hotel, the two-story space moves from a minimalist Hi-Fi Listening Bar downstairs into a warm, elegant dining room above, with views of the Brickell skyline and an open kitchen that anchors the experience.

Led by Executive Chef Seth Fatah, Kaori’s menu draws on culinary traditions from across Asia, while incorporating seasonal ingredients and modern technique. Small plates include Japanese Milk Bread with house-cultured butter and smoked shoyu honey; Braised Short Rib Dumplings with Doubanjiang Shoyu and chili crunch; and the Blooming Maitake, a creative take on a Bloomin’ Onion using togarashi dredge and sweet onion–mushroom purée.

Larger dishes include the Mee Siam, a noodle dish layered with chili sauce, shrimp, and herbs; the 45-Day Dry-Aged Suya-Spiced Steak with plantain in a vanilla-miso glaze; and the hot stone Takikomi Gohan with mayu oil, scallion, and heritage egg yolk. Desserts range from the Caramel Namelaka with miso ice cream and banana-dark chocolate sablé to the Strawberry Sando, a refreshing finish made with custard and fresh fruit.

The beverage program, curated by Diego De Leon, focuses on balance and complexity. Cocktails like the Ume Tonikku with plum liqueur and shiso, and the Karajillo, made with mezcal, espresso, and salted milk ice, are designed to complement the food and atmosphere.

Kaori offers à la carte dining and a tasting menu ($120). DJs spin vinyl Thursday through Saturday, and Happy Hour runs from 5–7PM at the Listening Bar.
