Julia Lemigova and Martina Navratilova Unite Arts & Advocacy in Miami

Julia Lemigova and Martina Navratilova honored Florida Grand Opera (FGO) and Advocates for Children and Families (ACF) at an exclusive event on December 10, 2024, at Miami's Lafayette Steakhouse. The evening celebrated community impact, featuring performances, celebrity guests, and a surprise announcement of Julia’s role in FGO's upcoming Carmen. Martina contributed by auctioning one of her paintings, supporting both nonprofits. The event also launched FGO’s Miami Voice Club, fostering cultural experiences and benefiting over 30 nonprofits through opera’s healing power.

“Opera was my therapy,” shared Julia Lemigova. “It became a tool for resilience and healing during some of the hardest moments of our lives.”

Maria Todaro, General Director of Florida Grand Opera, emphasized opera’s transformative power: “Today, we witnessed its timeless ability to uplift, inspire, and bring people together. Florida Grand Opera is proud to carry this tradition forward year-round in South Florida, opening minds and hearts to the transformative power of opera.”
