Joshua A. Katz specializes in Securities Arbitration, Complex Commercial Litigation, Securities Regulation, Receivership Litigation, and Broker-Dealer Compliance.


Since 2004, he has focused on broker-dealer arbitration before FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority), representing public investors, brokers, and broker-dealers.


Before joining Sallah Astarita & Cox, Katz was an associate at Klein & Sallah, LLC, where he advised brokerage firms on issues like non-solicitation agreements, promissory notes, and trade secret misappropriation. He has also handled various commercial and securities-related cases in federal and state courts, including claims under Article 8 of the Uniform Commercial Code.


Katz gained early securities law experience as a Certified Legal Intern with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) during 2002-2004.


He has been a member of the Florida Bar since 2004 and is admitted to practice in Florida state courts and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
