A New Era of Independent Journalism

The Emmy recognition arrives at a defining moment for Spanish-language media, as questions regarding institutional credibility versus individual journalist trust face the broader industry. Jorge Ramos: Así Veo Las Cosas stands as a clear answer, proving that audience loyalty and journalistic trust follow the reporter rather than traditional broadcast networks.

The U.S. Latino community and global Hispanic consumers have rapidly migrated toward digital platforms to find direct, culturally grounded, and uncompromising reporting. The podcast's metrics reflect this massive shift. In March 2026 alone, Jorge Ramos: Así Veo Las Cosas generated a staggering 101 million views across YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, with its flagship YouTube channel securing 4.85 million unique monthly viewers during that same timeframe.

"This Emmy belongs to our audience," said Jorge Ramos, host and partner at Tres Alebrijes. "They followed us to our new home, and from here we can do what we have always believed in: deliver journalism that is independent, direct, and uncompromising. This is a reaffirmation of the commitment we made to our community when we started this. And proof that independent journalism can compete with traditional media and win."

Behind Tres Alebrijes

Tres Alebrijes LLC was co-founded by Jorge Ramos alongside award-winning media executives María Martínez-Guzmán and Bilai Joa Silar. The independent company is dedicated to producing premium, nonfiction storytelling that creates a global impact. Their collective mission focuses on developing bold, bicultural, and bilingual content that genuinely reflects the lived experiences, triumphs, and complexities of Latino communities worldwide.

The production company expressed deep gratitude to the Marguerite Casey Foundation and YouTube for their vital support of the news podcast, helping to cultivate a highly accessible, digital-first space rooted in authentic audience connection.

This historic Emmy win solidifies what viewers have known for decades: Jorge Ramos remains one of the most decisive, trusted, and influential voices in modern journalism, carrying his unparalleled reach and credibility wherever the story takes him.
