Jack & Jill Children's Center Announces Free Meals for All Students at Madelaine Halmos Academy for 2025-26 School Year

Jack & Jill Children's Center is proud to announce that its private elementary school, The Madelaine Halmos Academy (MHA), will continue its participation in the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs' Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year. This vital program ensures that all students enrolled at MHA will receive healthy, nutritious breakfasts and lunches at no charge every school day.

This renewed commitment underscores Jack & Jill Children's Center's dedication to supporting low-income working families in Broward County. By eliminating the financial burden of school meals, the CEP directly addresses food insecurity and ensures that every child at Madelaine Halmos Academy has consistent access to the nourishment they need to thrive academically and personally.

"We're incredibly proud to continue our participation in the Community Eligibility Provision," said [Insert Name and Title of Key Spokesperson, e.g., Al Hernandez, CEO of Jack & Jill Children's Center]. "Access to healthy meals is fundamental to a child's learning and overall well-being. This program removes a significant barrier for our families, allowing them to focus more on their child's education and future, knowing that their children are well-fed every day."

The CEP simplifies meal service operations for the school while providing universal access to meals, fostering a more equitable and supportive learning environment for all students. Jack & Jill Children's Center, a cornerstone of the Fort Lauderdale community since 1942, employs a holistic "two-generation" approach, addressing the interconnected needs of children and their parents through comprehensive education, health, and family support programs. The Madelaine Halmos Academy, a key component of this approach, offers a technology-driven STEAM curriculum and even provides eligible graduates with college scholarships.

By providing consistent, no-cost access to nutritious food, Jack & Jill Children's Center is reinforcing its mission to break the cycle of poverty and empower families toward brighter futures.
