Alfa Gallery is pleased to present Interstice, a group exhibition that explores the radical aesthetic, conceptual, and emotional possibilities of working in a palette reduced to extremes the pure luminosity of white and the depth of black.

Interstice is not simply an exhibition about color, but rather a poetic inquiry into duality: light and darkness, presence and absence, visibility and concealment. The show brings together contemporary artists whose works articulate a refined visual language through monochrome, where restraint becomes a force of expression, and contrast becomes narrative.
The exhibition considers black not as void, but as substance saturated, heavy, fertile with possibility. White, conversely, is seen not as blankness, but as revelation luminous, contemplative, infinite. Together, these poles create a visual and conceptual tension that invites viewers to navigate perception, symbolism, and materiality.

Through painting, sculpture, photography, and installation, the artists challenge the chromatic silence of black and white to speak volumes about the world: grief and grace, identity and erasure, memory and abstraction.
Interstice ultimately proposes a heightened awareness of how we see, and what remains unseen reminding us that in limitation, there is profound freedom.
