Interiors with Nikita Kahn: Soho House Style

This issue’s column was inspired by the English countryside, Soho House style. One of the major components to this style is the vintage pieces of furniture that are incorporated throughout the space, enhancing it’s warm and inviting character. To re-create this style at home, add a couple of accent furniture pieces in cozy fabrics and textures. The Gerrard Bed by Soho Home with it’s fluted headboard upholstered in fine rust velvet or Vladimir Kagan’s Venetian sofa in pale blue and green velvet are elegant, but comfy options for accent furniture pieces in a bedroom. Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams also has an excellent statement-making accent chair with their Luna Chair in moss velvet that goes nicely in any room. Another way to complete the Soho House theme is by adding a few decorative and unique items like Salt by the Caza Project’s Picture Vessel 08, each handmade and carved in natural-toned ceramic or Patrick Naggar’s Bubble Sconce from Ralph Pucci, whose unique bronze sconce comes in a variety of different hues.
