Miami-Dade County is accepting applications for two major artist opportunities through the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs, including a large-scale public art commission at PortMiami and the return of its Artist Access Grant Program.

Through its Art in Public Places Program, the county is requesting qualifications from professional visual artists based in the United States to create new artworks for the renovated and expanded Terminal G at PortMiami, developed in partnership with Royal Caribbean Group, Lemartec/NV2A Joint Venture, and Perez & Perez Architects Planners, Inc. The project carries a total budget of $3.2 million, with multiple commissions expected.
Selected artists will be invited to submit full proposals and will receive an honorarium and technical support during the proposal phase. The artworks are intended to become part of the terminal’s identity and engage employees, travelers, and the surrounding community. Full project details and application guidelines are available through the Miami-Dade County Art in Public Places Program.
The request for qualifications deadline is Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at 11:59 p.m.
In addition, Miami-Dade County is accepting applications for the Artist Access (ART) Grant Program, funded by the Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with FUNDarte. The program supports professional artists living in Miami-Dade County across all disciplines by helping them pursue opportunities that advance their careers.

The ART Grant application deadline is Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at 11:59 p.m., and eligibility is limited to artists based in Miami-Dade County. More information is available through the Artist Access Grant Program application portal.
