Most CBD oils are safe for human consumption, even though there are many different types available. With such a wide range of products offered by various health stores, choosing the right one can be challenging. If you’re set on finding the best CBD oil, it’s important to establish clear criteria to guide your purchase and help you make an informed decision.

If you’re already using cannabis oil for medical reasons, you likely know which type works best for you. However, you can also help newcomers understand which kind of CBD oil might suit their needs. This post is designed to help beginners choose the right type of CBD oil to buy.

Type of CBD Oil

There are two main types of CBD oil you should be aware of: broad-spectrum and full-spectrum CBD. Full-spectrum CBD oil is made using the entire hemp plant, including various cannabinoids and terpenes that contribute to its flavor and effects. In contrast, CBD isolate is a purified form of CBD that contains none of the other plant compounds.

Choosing between these two options depends on your past experience with CBD and your reasons for using it. Full-spectrum CBD offers the benefit of the “entourage effect,” where all the plant’s components work together for enhanced effects. However, some people may prefer to avoid it due to the potential presence of THC.

CBD Concentration

If you’ve ever purchased CBD oil, you’ve probably noticed products with different concentrations—commonly 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, or even 30%. Every CBD oil has a different CBD rate. These percentages indicate the strength of the CBD oil, referring to the amount of CBD present. For example, a drop of 10% CBD oil contains twice as much CBD as a drop of 5% oil.

To give you an idea, one drop of 5% CBD oil typically contains about 2.5 milligrams of CBD. For general relaxation, a daily intake of around 20–30 mg is often recommended, while doses starting at 40 mg may be more effective for managing pain or certain health conditions.

The higher the concentration of the oil, the fewer drops you’ll need to experience its calming or therapeutic effects. If you’re new to CBD, it’s best to start with lower concentrations, such as 5% or 10%, to allow your body time to adjust. Those with more experience may want to explore stronger options, starting at 10% and above.

Is it Third-party Tested?

One of the most important factors to consider before purchasing CBD oil is whether it has been tested by a third-party lab. If it has, the lab reports should be easily accessible on the company’s website. Reputable brands will typically have their products tested for contaminants such as heavy metals, solvents, pesticides, as well as cannabinoid and terpene profiles. If a product is labeled as organic, look for certifications to verify that claim that their CBD oil is organic.

A lack of available lab reports is a clear red flag. If you can’t find them online, contact the company directly to request them. If they don’t respond or can’t provide the reports, it’s best to look elsewhere for your CBD oil.

Does it Claim to Cure Anything?

Be especially cautious if the company claims that CBD oil "cures" any illnesses or if they make any other exaggerated, unrealistic claims regarding their products. Any ethical CBD vendor will be forthright about the product's capabilities and limitations. While CBD oil has health advantages, it is not a panacea that will solve all your problems.

They are being careless and giving the impression that they are prepared to distort the facts to close a deal if they suggest it's a miraculous remedy. However, how can you be certain they are truthful about everything else? Seek honest, open claims and explanations regarding CBD oil's true nature and functions.

Customer Reviews

It is normal for you to have questions when choosing the correct CBD oils and products for yourself. If the company's website does not address your issues, you should be posting them.  Move your business elsewhere if their customer service cannot or will not address those questions for you.

CBD oil is meant to help you feel less anxious and not more anxious. A respectable CBD company will make you feel comfortable and safe purchasing their goods. Their website should have enough material to inform and assist you in making the best decisions.

Endnote

Understanding the many varieties, checking labels, and considering quality and potency are all necessary to select the best CBD oil for your needs. New users can achieve the ideal balance by progressively increasing their dosages from lower starting points. Considering these suggestions guarantees that you make an informed decision, regardless of whether you're new to CBD or trying to switch products.
