Hotels You Can Buyout for Your Wedding in South Florida

Two South Florida hotels are offering a solution for couples looking for an efficient way to give their guests a private and memorable experience for their micro-wedding - simply buyout a portion of the hotel.

While destination micro-weddings continue to be a trend, hotels continue to evolve their offerings to meet the needs of consumers. In this case, privacy is key!

The Gabriel South Beach and The Marker Key West Harbor Resort are both boutique properties already offering a bespoke and curated experience for guests. But for those looking for even more privacy, both hotels also offer unique spaces on property that can be used as a buyout - including a completely separate entrance into the building. With this, wedding guests have access to the entire property and amenities, but also exclusive access to specific area of the hotel, allowing for the couple to curate the total experience and have more control over the little things for their guests.

The Gabriel South Beach is a boutique property centrally located on Ocean Drive, just steps away from South Beach. The 132-room hotel comprises four buildings designed to blend art deco modernism with tropical allure, creating a lively yet functional space for guests while honoring Ocean Drive’s rich history.

One of the buildings, The Gabriel’s newest structure, is the 12-suite Floridita Building, which houses a full bar and lounge area and a show stopping glass bottom rooftop pool. With these built-in amenities, the Floridita Building is equipped to accommodate a variety of events, whether buying out the guest rooms for a micro-wedding reception and ceremony, which includes accommodating guests for a pre- or post-wedding cocktail reception and dinner, or buying out the space for a bachelor or bachelorette party. The lobby is an elegant space with a full bar and lounge area that is perfect for rehearsal dinners, bridal luncheons, micro-weddings or other special events.

Each suite provides an oasis of comfort and simple luxury, featuring high-quality finishes such as white-washed oak hardwood floors and headboards, 100% hand-tufted New Zealand wool rugs, luxurious signature bathroom amenities, artwork by local artists and exclusive access to the rooftop glass-bottom “peek-a-boo” pool.

Further South, The Marker Key West Harbor Resort is ideally located on the Key West Historic Seaport, just steps from lively Duval Street and Mallory Square. Recently named the “#1 Resort in the Florida Keys” by Condé Nast Traveler’s Readers’ Choice Awards, this modern waterfront resort offers a hidden sanctuary of lush tropical grounds, three saltwater pools, an open-air restaurant and bar for alfresco dining, a state-of-the-art fitness center and 96 spacious guest rooms designed with Key West-inspired touches.

Nestled inside The Marker is Harbor House, a collection of waterfront suites ranging from 1,000-1,400 square feet, tucked away in Old Town with private entrances through which guests can discreetly access the hotel property. Buyouts of Harbor House can accommodate wedding parties or groups for any special event, from an outdoor cocktail reception to a post-wedding brunch on the wrap-around veranda.

Beach lovers can enjoy a gorgeous wedding reception, from a plated, buffet or stationed dinner under the stars to a ballroom overlooking the ocean. Harbor House provides a serene setting for the special day with beautifully designed suites and stunning harbor views, ensuring a memorable experience for all guests.

As the summer season approaches, hotel rates in tropical destinations become more attractive. Check out these properties for your next group gathering, family vacation or wedding - the tropical oasis awaits!
