Hotel Adlon Kempinski Berlin - An Iconic Stay at the Brandenburg Gate

ree

The Hotel Adlon Kempinski Berlin has a story as captivating as the city it calls home. First opening its doors in 1907 right beside the iconic Brandenburg Gate—one of Europe’s most recognizable and historic symbols—it was one of Germany’s most modern and luxurious hotels when it first opened and remains today. A destination for royalty, politicians, cultural icons, and celebrities—hosting everyone from Kaiser Wilhelm II to Thomas Edison. Known for its grand balls and glittering social gatherings.

Reimagined and reopened in 1997, the Adlon blends its legendary elegance with every modern comfort, still standing proudly at the city’s most historic crossroads. Today, it continues to draw global leaders, A-list stars, and curious visitors alike—sometimes making headlines for unexpected reasons, such as Michael Jackson’s infamous baby-dangling moment from a sixth-floor balcony. With lavish interiors, impeccable service, and an unmatched location, it remains one of Germany’s most prestigious addresses.
