Gulfstream Park’s Championship thoroughbred racing season continues April 1st with the 72nd Florida Derby, one of Florida’s most legendary races leading up to the Kentucky Derby. Join us for an afternoon and evening of world-class racing, entertainment, and dining.
During the Florida Derby run on April 1st, Carousel Club will open from noon to 3 a.m. and celebrate this legendary race with half-priced Mojito pitchers from noon until 4 p.m. There will be performances throughout the day by jazz artist and Lady Gaga’s Vegas bandleader, Brian Newman. Carousel Club at Gulfstream Park is the perfect spot to enjoy warm weather, cool cocktails, delicious eats & exciting race day entertainment.
Newman is celebrated for blending the jazz influences of Miles Davis and Chet Baker, and the American Songbook influences of Gershwin and Porter to find room with the modern songbook through his love of bands such as Nirvana, Willie Nelson, Elliot Smith, and The Police.
Taste at the Track, the unlimited tasting event is all about Wine and Tapas while watching the action of the 2023 Florida Derby. Enjoy a variety of charcuterie, cheeses, and gourmet bites, paired with your favorite premium red, rose, and sparkling wines.
