Gucci has appointed Tancredi Vitale as Vice President of Gucci Racing, with the role effective September 1.

Vitale joins the company from Venezia Football Club, where he served as Managing Director, and previously held global leadership roles at sports brands including Kappa, Adidas Y-3 with Yohji Yamamoto, Nike and Jordan. During more than 13 years at Nike’s Portland headquarters, he held a series of increasingly senior positions across the organization.
In his new role, Vitale will work alongside Giovanni Perosino, who will continue to lead Gucci Racing as Senior Vice President while also serving as Senior Vice President of Marketing.
Gucci Racing was introduced with the partnership with the Alpine Formula One Team announced in May 2026, and is designed as a platform for growth and innovation at the intersection of luxury, sport and culture. The initiative is expected to extend beyond Formula 1 into areas such as tennis, winter sports and equestrianism, creating opportunities to deepen client engagement, enhance experiences and support business growth.
Vitale’s international background, strategic approach and experience in the sports industry are expected to support the development of Gucci Racing as a global platform.
