Grotto Baths is opening a 7,500-square-foot social bathhouse in Miami's Wynwood neighborhood early this summer. Located at 325 NW 28th Street, the facility revives communal bathing traditions by offering a space dedicated to wellness, contrast therapy, and social connection.

Co-founders Nathan Kaplan and Nick Anselmo developed the concept to address issues like digital overload and burnout. The facility provides an alternative to traditional nightlife, focusing on recovery and community building.

The core of the experience centers on a thermal bathing circuit. Guests navigate a rhythm of heat and cooling through a ceremonial sauna, infrared sauna, steam room, thermal bath, mineral pool, and cold plunge. To encourage presence and connection, the indoor bathing areas remain entirely phone-free.

The physical environment, designed by Stokes Architecture and Cohere, utilizes tropical colors, stone, and travertine to promote rest. A 2,500-square-foot outdoor lounge features an alcohol-free Sensory Bar and Cafe. Chef Erik Oberholtzer developed the menu, which highlights seasonal bites, fresh juices, and adaptogenic beverages.

Grotto Baths also introduces a membership-based model tailored to consumers seeking consistent wellness routines. The venue offers unlimited visits and priority booking for members, alongside curated cultural programming led by partner Darryl Gibson. Scheduled activities include somatic movement sessions, guided breathwork, and community workshops.

Interested individuals can review membership tiers, day pass options, and booking details directly on the Grotto Baths digital platform.
