Grand Hotel Tremezzo, the iconic Lake Como retreat, announces its reopening for the 2026 season on March 19, unveiling a series of thoughtful enhancements to its accommodations, wellness offerings, and guest experiences. This season marks an evolution of the hotel’s timeless charm, blending its historic elegance with contemporary luxury and cultural discovery.

As Grand Hotel Tremezzo reopens with 77 rooms, guests can indulge in the newly introduced Junior Suites with Park View—light-filled, pastel-hued open-plan bedrooms and living areas overlooking the hotel’s centuries-old park. Grand marble bathrooms and refined period décor create a serene and elegant retreat, blending comfort with sophistication.

Culture lovers can enjoy exclusive access to Teatro Sociale di Como, with behind-the-scenes tours of the historic opera house, followed by performances from the hotel’s private VIP balcony. Known as “A Night at the Opera,” this intimate experience offers some of Italy’s finest cultural treasures in unparalleled comfort.

For wellness travelers, T Spa unveils new anti-aging rituals, including the Golden and Silk Skin Experience, featuring argan oil, pink crystal scrub, and white clay mask, and the Collagen Facial, designed to restore tone, firmness, and elasticity. The Italian Hammam, a modern take on a classic therapy, provides deep relaxation, rejuvenation, and a sanctuary for the senses.

This season, the De Santis family expands its cultural offering with CASABIANCA, a restored 1930s lakeside villa now open to guests. Across three floors, 15 thoughtfully restored rooms house around fifty works from the family’s four-decade contemporary art collection, with a focus on Italian artists and Arte Povera. Conceived as “a house, not a museum,” CASABIANCA invites visitors to linger, reflect, and discover, while Cova Casabianca, a collaboration with Milanese pasticceria Cova Milano, blends art and gastronomy in a singular cultural experience.Part of the broader De Santis family portfolio, CASABIANCAcomplements Grand Hotel Tremezzo, Villa Sola Cabiati, an 18th-century lakeside villa open year-round, and Passalacqua, a historic luxury property that reflects the family’s dedication to heritage, art, and refined hospitality. Together, these properties showcase the De Santis family’s ongoing commitment to creating exceptional experiences that celebrate the beauty, culture, and traditions of Lake Como.

Beyond the hotels, Valentina De Santis has created Sense of Lake, an all-Italian lifestyle and design platform celebrating local artisans and embodying her personal philosophy of “Lake Como living.” Guests can now take the spirit of the lake home with the debut of Sense of Lake’s annual drops, starting with Aqua Como 1813, a fragrance inspired by Villa Sola Cabiati. The full collection, including a new candle, will launch soon, alongside curated items such as scarves, T-shirts, and hoodies—offering a year-round way to experience the essence of Lake Como while extending Valentina’s vision of luxury beyond hospitality through meaningful, beautifully crafted objects.

With new suites, wellness innovations, and exclusive cultural access, Grand Hotel Tremezzo invites guests to return to Lake Como for a season of refined elegance, discovery, and inspiration.
