Updated: Sep 30, 2021

Nothing starts off the day and keeps us going more than coffee. In honor of the drink that fuels us through the day, these South Florida hotspots are celebrating National Coffee Day (September 29) with creative and tasty renditions of everyone’s favorite beverage.

David’s Cafe at The Shelborne

Serving authentic Cuban cuisine in Miami Beach for generations, David’s Café debuted at the iconic Shelborne South Beach’s lobby earlier this year. Stop by from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. on National Coffee Day to grab a free coffee and meet the owner of David’s Café, Adrian Gonzalez. This family-owned pop-up also serves classic Cuban Cafecito ($3), Colada ($4) and Cafe con Leche ($5 - $6.25), that pair with their delicious Guava Pastelitos ($3), Croquetas ($3.75) and so much more. David’s Café is open daily from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

XO Espresso at The Lincoln Eatery

At The Lincoln Eatery Food Hall, XO Espresso serves a variety of caffeine-infused wellness drinks, lattes, cappuccinos and special creations. Coffee lovers will be happy to hear that XO Espresso is offering a free espresso or brewed drip coffee with any purchase to celebrate National Coffee Day. One of the stall’s most notable beverages is the Australian classic Flat White ($4.25 - $5.75), espresso steamed with silky textured milk and a thin layer of microfoam. For the more adventurous, there is Blue Butterfly Latte ($4.5 - $6) a silky blue-colored drink made with butterfly pea petals, coconut sugar and ginger; or the Purple Potato Latte ($4.5 - $6) made with purple sweet potato, coconut sugar, beetroot, butterfly pea and ginger. XO Espresso is open daily from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Circle House Coffee

Enjoy National Coffee Day at Circle House Coffee, founded by retired NFL linebacker, Stephen Tulloch who turned to coffee during his 11-year NFL career to fuel his day. This community-based coffee shop with a drive-thru is located in the heart of Downtown Fort Lauderdale’s Flagler Village and offers “drinkable selfies” compliments of its ripple coffee maker which makes customizable latte art thanks to its state-of-the-art, foam-printing technology. Try delicious coffees such as a House Macchiato, made with espresso, condensed milk, caramel sauce, and milk; a classic Café con Leche, made with espresso, milk, and sugar; Horchata, made with espresso, vanilla, macadamia milk and cinnamon or a Nitro Tap, a super creamy version of their cold brew blend. Sip on any of these amazing coffees from their expansive seating options, both indoor and outdoor on the patio, or on the road via the drive-thru. They are open from Monday - Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Sunday 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Cortadito Coffee House

The Cortadito Coffee House is a Miami Beach staple, with a bakery, a cozy ambiance and outside seating area, this coffee house is the perfect spot to sit and sip. This Latin- inspired coffee shop offers a variety of hot, iced, and frozen coffees that pair well with their authentic Cuban sandwiches or pastries. Celebrate this National Coffee Day by sipping on a delicious Coladita ($2.75), the Cafe Bon Bon ($3.50), an espresso with sweet condensed milk, the Ms. Eva ($3.50), an espresso with evaporated milk, or try the Tres Leches Latte ($4.75), served hot, frozen or iced, brought to you straight from Cuba! You can enjoy any of these items from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM every day of the week.
