West Palm Beach-based GOLDLAW served as the Advocate Sponsor for the Guardians for New Futures, Inc. (GFNF4Kids) 2026 Treasure Coast Child Summit. The two-day educational event took place on Sept. 23 at the Indian River State College Treasure Coast Public Safety Training Complex, bringing together over 200 professionals, community leaders, and child advocates.

Board Appointment and Summit Focus

In conjunction with the firm's support for GFNF4Kids, GOLDLAW Chief Legal Officer Spencer T. Kuvin was appointed to the organization’s Board of Directors. Kuvin will help advance the nonprofit's mission to support the unfunded needs of abused children and underserved youth across the Treasure Coast.

"Protecting children requires more than responding when harm occurs. It requires education, awareness and a community committed to recognizing risks and taking action," said Kuvin. "I am honored to join the board and support an organization that is doing critical work to equip professionals, families and the community with the knowledge and resources needed to better protect children."

The summit provided a platform for law enforcement, mental health experts, legal professionals, and child advocates to discuss issues affecting youth. Topics covered included autism, artificial intelligence, online exploitation, grooming, and emerging threats to child safety.

Legal Insights on Child Exploitation

During the event, Kuvin led a presentation titled "Epstein & Beyond," sharing his legal experience representing survivors of sexual abuse. Having litigated against Jeffrey Epstein for nearly two decades and represented nine survivors, Kuvin discussed the realities of child exploitation and the importance of vigilance and advocacy.

GOLDLAW Litigation Director Michael H. Kugler delivered a keynote address detailing the prosecution of sexual predators in both criminal and civil courts. Drawing from his background, Kugler examined offender pathology, the schemes used to cultivate trust, and strategies for building stronger prosecution cases.

The event underscored that protecting children is a shared responsibility that requires proactive education and cross-sector collaboration.
