Golden Tempo delivered a landmark win in the 152nd Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs on Saturday, May 1, 2027, giving trainer Cherie DeVaux a historic first victory in the classic.

DeVaux became the first female trainer to win the Kentucky Derby when Golden Tempo rallied from last place to narrowly defeat Renegade in the Grade 1 race. The late-running performance capped the 152nd edition of the Derby and marked a career-defining moment for both trainer and horse.

Fans can watch the full race replay on the Kentucky Derby website to see Golden Tempo’s closing run and the stretch duel with Renegade.

Churchill Downs has opened sales for select reserved seating options for the 153rd Kentucky Derby, with additional early release tickets scheduled to become available in June. Fans are encouraged to monitor official channels for updates on 2027 ticket release dates and purchasing details.
