Get Slimed with Messy Science Weekends starting September 6
Get ready to dive into a slimy, muddy, ooey-gooey adventure at MODS! Unleash your inner scientist with messy, hands-on experiments, meet animal ambassadors who dig, crawl and slime their way through life and discover how our Life Sciences team cares for the amazing creatures that call MODS home. Create your own muddy masterpieces, stretch and splatter sticky slimes and uncover their gooey secrets under a microscope. It’s a month of slime-filled fun, wild animal encounters and messy discoveries for all ages!

MODS’ HoloTheater Redefines Storytelling and Makes its East Coast Debut with Dinosaur Discoveries: A Holographic Adventure
Get ready to be transported into thrilling, larger-than-life holographic scientific adventures - all without the need of special glasses - when MODS and BASE Xperiential debut the custom-built, freestanding HoloTheater - the first of its kind on the East Coast of the United States! The revolutionary HoloTheater is a dynamic and immersive storytelling attraction using three-dimensional holographic technology, stunning laser-projection, spatial audio and video mapping. This theater will open with Dinosaur Discoveries: A Holographic Adventure, a stunning visual journey through 140 years of paleontology that brings dinosaurs to life in jaw-dropping fashion. The immersive experience is developed by BASE Xperiential, producers of mixed-media and live holographic entertainment, in partnership with MacGillivray Freeman Films (MFF), the world’s foremost independent producer and distributor of giant-screen films. The HoloTheater experience is approximately 25 minutes long and can be purchased with the Discovery Pass Plus, a new all-in-one ticket that includes Museum exhibitions, live science demonstrations, one IMAX® documentary film and a HoloTheater experience. Larger Than Life Adventures - Animal Rescues, an Anime Exclusive, the 30th Anniversary of Apollo 13 and More on the Big Screen
September covers all the film bases at The AutoNation® IMAX® 3D Theater, the largest screen in south Florida and one of the only theaters in the world to offer 2D and 3D IMAX® laser projection. September 5 is the opening of Wild Rescue, an uplifting film following the inspiring journey of animals given a second chance at a wildlife. Also on September 5, paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren take on one last terrifying case involving mysterious entities they must confront in The Conjuring: Last Rites. Anime fans won’t want to miss the further adventures of Tanjiro Kamado, Enitsu Agatsuma and Inosuke Ashibira in their quest to defend Demon Slayer Corps in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba Infinity Castle opening September 12. Plus, on September 19, join Tom Hanks, Kevin Bacon, Gary Sinise, Bill Paxton and Ed Harris portraying our real-life NASA heroes devising a strategy to return the Apollo 13 mission safely back to earth in this 30th anniversary showing of the award-winning Ron Howard film. Time is running out for the South Florida Adventure Pass! Through September 30, 2025, enjoy unlimited admission to MODS plus Butterfly World, Flamingo Gardens and Sawgrass Recreation Park. At $60 plus tax, per adult ages 13+ and $50 plus tax, per child (ages 3-12), this pass grants unlimited admission to each attraction. Existing annual passholders/members at participating attractions can upgrade to the South Florida Adventure Pass for $50 plus tax per adult and $40 plus tax per child.
