Gay Men's Chorus of South Florida to Perform at Yom HaShoah Commemoration

The Gay Men's Chorus of South Florida (GMCSF) will participate in this year’s Yom HaShoah Commemoration, held at Temple Sinai on Monday, April 13, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. The annual event serves as a global day of reflection to remember the six million Jewish lives lost during the Holocaust and to honor the resilience of survivors.
The program will focus on the legacy of Raoul Wallenberg and the profound impact of individual moral choices. The evening includes moving survivor testimony and a candle-lighting ceremony dedicated to the multiple victim groups of the Holocaust. Students representing younger generations will also participate, ensuring the lessons of history continue to be passed forward.
Sacred music and liturgy will provide the framework for the evening, featuring a special musical tribute by the GMCSF. Following the formal program, attendees are invited to stay for a reception with survivors, descendants, and community partners to further share stories and strengthen communal bonds.
The event is open to the community as a reaffirmation of commitment to justice, dignity, and peace.
