Galleria Fort Lauderdale will celebrate Valentine’s Day with “Love at First Bark,” a dog adoption expo and doggie fashion show competition set for Saturday, February 14, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will take place on the mall’s main level near Macy’s.

The Valentine’s Day celebration will be hosted by Local 10 News anchor and Animal Advocate reporter Jacey Birch and is open to pet lovers, families and dogs. The event focuses on promoting pet adoption while offering a public fashion show featuring dogs and their owners.
Several local rescue organizations are scheduled to participate in the adoption expo, including Good Karma Pet Rescue, Everglades Angels Hound Rescue, Humane Society of Broward County and United for Animals Rescue. Local pet-related businesses such as Woof Gang Plantation and Auggie’s Pet Supplies will also be on site showcasing products and services.
The red-themed doggie fashion show will feature a runway-style competition with multiple categories, including Best Dog Walk, Best Dressed, Dynamic Duo and Best in Show. The Best in Show winner will receive $250, with an additional $250 donated to a participating rescue organization. Additional prizes include a year-long dog treat voucher from Woof Gang Plantation and a gift basket from Auggie’s Pet Supplies filled with pet food, toys and treats.
According to Galleria Fort Lauderdale marketing manager Melissa Milroy, the event reflects the mall’s continued focus on community-driven programming and support for local animal rescue efforts.
Participation for pet organizations, vendors and fashion show competitors is free. Interested parties must register by February 10 through Goodman Public Relations.
