Gabriela Sanchez-Vegas, the creative force behind GSVV Design, has established herself as one of the leading interior designers in South Florida, known for her innovative approach to residential and commercial spaces. With an extensive portfolio that spans 18 years, her work is a harmonious blend of light, color, and texture—elements that reflect her unique design philosophy. A Journey Through Design and Art

Born in Venezuela, Gabriela’s passion for design began early. She pursued studies in both fashion and interior design, but it was interior design that captured her heart. After years of honing her craft, she founded GSVV Design, an international design firm headquartered in South Florida. Her ability to blend art with design has become one of her signature traits, evident in her personal collection of kinetic art. Artists like Carlos Cruz Diez, Jesus Rafael Soto, and Julio Le Parc are just a few of the celebrated figures whose works grace her private collection.

Her deep connection with kinetic art is not just personal—it's integrated into her design projects, where art often takes center stage. This fusion of art and design is evident in the spaces she creates, whether it’s a residential home or a commercial establishment. The influence of kinetic art, with its dynamic use of color and movement, breathes life into the spaces Gabriela designs.

Key Collaborations and Milestone Projects

One of Gabriela’s most notable collaborations involved a South Florida home alongside renowned architect Fu-Tung Cheng. The design of a dining/buffet space featuring innovative concrete elements became a defining moment for GSVV Design. Gabriela’s collaboration with Cheng was so impactful that she became a student of his concrete design techniques, completing five certifications in finishes and materials. This relationship with Cheng is far from over, as the two continue to work together on future projects, pushing the boundaries of design with concrete as a primary medium.

GSVV Design’s portfolio also includes the transformation of luxury residential spaces for long-term clients. One of the firm’s milestone projects involved the renovation of a luxury single-family residence that had been untouched for three years. Gabriela and her team completely overhauled the home, starting from the foundation up. The project, which took over two years to complete, was a testament to her ability to balance client desires with innovative design solutions. The end result was a stunning, modern space that redefined the family’s living experience.

Looking Toward 2025: Design Trends on the Horizon

As 2025 approaches, Gabriela predicts a shift toward more sustainable and multifunctional design. “People are becoming more conscious of their environmental impact, and this will influence the materials and techniques we use,” she explains. Expect to see a rise in eco-friendly and upcycled materials, as well as an emphasis on designs that maximize space and utility.

Another trend she anticipates is the increasing importance of personalized and interactive design. “Design will continue to evolve as a way to reflect not just who we are, but how we experience the world around us,” Gabriela says. She believes that future designs will incorporate more immersive elements, blending art, technology, and nature into seamless, holistic environments.

The use of color will also become more deliberate, with bold and vibrant hues returning to the forefront. In her own words, “By incorporating our client’s aesthetics into our innovative concepts, we craft beautiful, balanced, and inspired environments—bringing a sense of comfort and peace to modern design.”
