Frost Wind Ensemble Presents Musical Masterpieces – January 25, 2025
On Saturday, January 25, 2025, at 5 PM, the Frost Wind Ensemble will take center stage at 1314 Miller Drive in Coral Gables, FL, for an extraordinary evening of music. Under the baton of renowned conductor Robert Carnochan and distinguished guest conductor Kevin Sedatole, the ensemble will deliver a compelling performance celebrating community and musical excellence.
This special event will feature over 200 of Florida's finest musicians, uniting talent from across the state in a remarkable collaboration. The program includes a mix of contemporary and classical works, beginning with Gala Flagello’s Bravado (2023), a bold and energizing modern composition.
The evening continues with Dmitri Shostakovich’s Prelude Op. 34 No. 14, arranged by Reynolds, offering a glimpse into the Russian composer’s early brilliance.
The performance will culminate with Ottorino Respighi’s Pini di Roma (The Pines of Rome), arranged by Nefs. This iconic piece will transport audiences through the Eternal City with its vivid musical imagery, from the lively Pines of the Villa Borghese to the hauntingly serene Pines near a Catacomb, the romantic Pines of the Janiculum, and the triumphant finale, The Pines of the Appian Way.
