Frost Science Tech Lab Club Explores Animation This Fall in Miami
The Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science in Miami is launching a fall Tech Lab Club that introduces children ages 7–12 to the science and technology of animation through a series of hands-on sessions.
Inspired by the museum’s upcoming special exhibition The Science Behind Pixar, the four-session Tech Lab Club invites participants to explore how science, art, and technology combine to bring animated characters and stories to life.
Guided by Frost Science educators, children will learn core concepts including 3D modeling, animation, lighting, and rendering, then apply these skills by creating their own 2D animation project using laptops and digital tools provided by the museum.
The program consists of four immersive sessions scheduled for October 4 and 11 and November 8 and 15, running from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and includes lunch and a T-shirt for each participant.
