Frost Science Opens Registration for 2026–2027 STEM Challenge in Miami

The Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science in Miami has opened registration for its 2026–2027 STEM Challenge, an academic year program that engages middle and high school students in engineering design projects tied to real-world scientific issues.
The Frost Science STEM Challenge is designed to build creativity, critical thinking and problem-solving skills as students develop solutions to practical problems over the course of the school year. Participants present their work at the STEM Challenge Expo, where top projects are eligible for college scholarships to Florida universities.
Educators who wish to take part must register by Friday, August 7 to attend a required Professional Learning Experience scheduled for Monday, August 10. The training provides a $500 stipend along with curriculum resources and ongoing classroom support throughout the program.
