Blue Star Museums Program
This summer, Frost Science is proud to offer free admission to all active-duty military personnel — including National Guard and Reserve — and their families, as part of Blue Star Museums. This nationwide program is a collaboration between the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, the Department of Defense, and museums across the country, honoring those who serve with access to cultural experiences all summer long, now through September 7. Admission can be redeemed with the appropriate ID at the museum’s Ticket Center.
DEFY LIMITS WITH EXTREME SPORTS: BEYOND HUMAN LIMITS (ONGOING EXHIBITION)
Step into a world of adrenaline and achievement with Extreme Sports: Beyond Human Limits, now open at the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science. This highly interactive special exhibition explores the science, psychology, and technology behind some of the world’s most daring athletic pursuits through hands-on challenges, multimedia experiences, and inspiring stories from athletes who push the boundaries of human potential.
Guests can test their strength, balance, and reaction time while exploring the physics, biology, and mental resilience required for activities such as wingsuit flying, rock climbing, parkour, and freediving. The exhibition also features Science of Soccer, an interactive experience that connects the world’s most popular sport to the science of motion, energy, and human performance as Miami hosts matches during the FIFA World Cup 2026™.
Blending science, sport, and immersive storytelling, Extreme Sports: Beyond Human Limits reveals how athletes assess risk, adapt to challenging environments, and perform under pressure, while highlighting the researchers, innovators, and rescue teams who support them. The exhibition is on view through September 7, 2026, in the Hsiao Family Special Exhibition Gallery on the museum’s first floor.
