Frost Science Launches Extreme Sports Exhibition and Extended Summer Hours in Miami

The Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science in Downtown Miami has opened a new interactive exhibition, Extreme Sports: Beyond Human Limits, alongside extended summer hours and seasonal programming for visitors of all ages.
The museum’s latest exhibition, Extreme Sports: Beyond Human Limits, invites guests to test reaction time, balance, and grip strength while exploring the physics, technology, biology, and psychology that shape some of the world’s most daring sports.
From Saturday, June 6 through Sunday, August 9, Frost Science will remain open daily until 6:00 p.m., giving visitors additional time to explore the museum. The summer schedule also features camps for ages 5 to 15 with weekly themes such as space, robotics, marine science, and dinosaurs, along with special events including World Ocean Day presented by the Miami Downtown Development Authority, a Pride Month Laser Evening in the Frost Planetarium, a MUVE coastal volunteer workday, and a sensory-friendly Just for Me: Summer Cool Down session.
In recognition of America250, the nationwide commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, Frost Science is offering a poster exhibit and passport program highlighting American innovation, as well as a new Frost Planetarium short narrated by Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava that showcases stories of marine science, paleontology, astronomy, and flight.
Additional summer highlights include Digging Expeditions with Curator of Vertebrate Paleontology Dr. Cary Woodruff in the Montana badlands, where participants can assist with dinosaur fossil discoveries, and An Evening with the Stars: A Special Planetary Wine Dinner at Boulud Sud, hosted by Frost Science President and CEO Dr. Doug Roberts, featuring astronomy-themed storytelling paired with a three-course dinner and wine.
