Frost Science Laser Evening Returns to Miami on August 14 With '90s and 2000s Shows
The Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science in Miami will host a special Laser Evening on Friday, August 14 at the Frost Planetarium, featuring music-driven laser shows and an immersive listening event under the dome.
Attendees can experience a ’90s-themed laser show with tracks from artists such as Beastie Boys, Britney Spears and Green Day, followed by a new 2000s program that includes music from Gorillaz, Taylor Swift and other popular performers. Tickets for the laser shows start at $15 for adults and $12 for children ages 4 to 11, with a 20% discount available to museum members who log into their accounts when purchasing.
The evening’s schedule also features two sold-out screenings of Phoebe Bridgers’ Lost Weekend Planetarium Experience, an immersive phone-free event where guests listen to the Grammy Award-winning artist’s new album while visuals play across the planetarium dome. Phones are placed in locked Yondr pouches during the performance, although guests may step outside the theater to unlock them if needed, and other illuminated electronic devices are not permitted.
Refreshments and light snacks will be available for purchase in the museum’s Main Atrium until 10:00 p.m., and onsite parking in the museum garage is offered at a flat rate of $8 from 6:00 p.m. to midnight. Each Laser Evening show requires a separate ticket, and while online sales close one hour before showtime, any remaining tickets can be bought onsite up to 15 minutes before a show begins; admission to the planetarium events does not include general museum access.
