Frost Science Hosts Laser Evening With New Music on September 12
The Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science in Downtown Miami is bringing back its Laser Evening program on Saturday, September 12, in the Frost Planetarium.
The event will feature refreshed laser playlists and full dome visuals, including new music from Bruno Mars and Gorillaz, classics from Pink Floyd’s The Dark Side of the Moon, and electronic tracks by Daft Punk projected under the 67-foot dome.
Guests can watch synchronized laser displays set to the music, transforming the planetarium into a nighttime light show experience.
Tickets are priced at $15 for adults and $12 for children ages 4 to 11, and members receive a 20% discount when logged into their member accounts. Tickets for each Laser Evening show must be purchased separately, and online ticket sales close one hour before showtime, with onsite sales available up to 15 minutes before the show starts. Laser show admission includes laser glasses but does not include museum admission.
Snacks and light refreshments will be available for purchase in the Main Atrium until 10:00 p.m., and onsite parking will be offered in the museum garage at a flat rate of $8 starting at 6:00 p.m., with all vehicles required to exit by midnight. Museum exhibitions will close at 6:00 p.m., and member parking discounts will not apply during the event.
The museum advises that the laser shows include bright, flashing lights that may cause discomfort for visitors with light sensitivity or certain pre-existing conditions.
