The Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science in Miami is highlighting Memorial Day weekend with extended visiting hours, new live science programming, an America250 poster exhibit, and the launch of the special exhibition Extreme Sports: Beyond Human Limits.

Visitors can explore space shows in the Frost Planetarium, watch live science demonstrations, and view marine life in the museum’s aquarium during the holiday weekend. Frost Science will remain open until 6:00 p.m. from Saturday, May 23, through Monday, May 25, giving guests additional time to tour exhibitions, including the new Extreme Sports: Beyond Human Limits display.
In recognition of America250, the museum has installed a poster exhibit throughout its galleries that focuses on American innovation, featuring oceanographers, scientists, engineers, and inventors. Guests can pick up a passport, answer questions related to the displays, and receive a prize from the Science Store upon completion.

Extreme Sports: Beyond Human Limits, now on view, examines the science behind activities such as wingsuit flying, rock climbing, and freediving, outlining the physical and technological demands required to go farther, faster, and higher. The exhibition also includes the Science of Soccer experience as Miami prepares for the FIFA World Cup 2026, and was developed and produced by Science North in partnership with the Ontario Science Centre, with sponsorship from iFLY Miami. Guests can plan their visit and view museum details online.
