Frost Science Announces April Lineup of Earth Day and STEM Events in Miami

The Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science in Downtown Miami is highlighting a full month of public programs in April 2026, including adult evenings, citizen science activities, Earth Day celebrations and youth-focused STEM events.



The museum will host nightLAB: Forces of Nature, an adults-only after-hours program on Thursday, April 2 from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., featuring extreme weather demonstrations, expert talks, hands-on activities with community partners, access to museum exhibitions and a special screening of Wildest Weather in the Frost Planetarium.


Later in the month the museum will participate in the South Florida City Nature Challenge from Friday, April 24 through Monday, April 27, encouraging the public to document local wildlife using the iNaturalist app as part of a global citizen science effort. On Saturday, April 25, Earth Day 2026 programming will run from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with interactive activities and partner-led experiences focused on environmental action, presented with support from Florida Prepaid.



The museum’s MUVE (Museum Volunteers for the Environment) program will hold a City Nature Challenge BioBlitz at Virginia Key on Sunday, April 26 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., where participants will survey coastal habitats and record species observations to contribute to the international biodiversity competition.
