The Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science has announced its January 2026 programming, featuring a mix of exhibitions, family-focused events, music-driven experiences, and community initiatives. All activities take place at the museum’s downtown Miami campus unless otherwise noted.
A major highlight continues to be Leonardo da Vinci – 500 Years of Genius, now on view through April 5, 2026. The exhibition offers an in-depth look at Leonardo da Vinci’s life and work through immersive digital galleries, interactive elements, and full-scale replicas of his inventions. Visitors can explore projected interpretations of works such as The Last Supper and Vitruvian Man, along with the Mona Lisa Revealed installation, which features a 360-degree replica of the painting. The exhibition is housed in the Hsiao Family Special Exhibition Gallery and is included with general museum admission. Details are available under Leonardo da Vinci – 500 Years of Genius.

On Saturday, January 17, Frost Science will host Just For Me: Anatomy Adventure, a monthly program designed for individuals and families with sensory and accessibility needs. The January session focuses on the nervous and circulatory systems, with hands-on activities presented in a quieter, more accommodating environment. Sensory toolkits, sound and lighting adjustments, and tactile activations will be available. The program runs from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and does not require registration.

That evening, the Frost Planetarium will present Laser Evening, combining music and laser visuals under the 67-foot dome. The lineup includes laser shows set to ‘80s music, Stranger Things, The Weeknd, and Bad Bunny. The event runs from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., with tickets available HERE.

Earlier the same day, Frost Science’s Museum Volunteers for the Environment program (MUVE) will lead a volunteer workday at Virginia Key Beach North Point Park. Participants will help remove invasive species and clean the shoreline to support coastal habitats. The activity takes place from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., with registration available HERE.

The day concludes with the Family Fun Festival, a free community event held on the museum’s outdoor Knight Plaza from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The festival features interactive science activities, live demonstrations, community partners, and entertainment for all ages. While the festival itself is free, museum admission is not included. RSVPs, available HERE, include access to a discounted admission offer for the same day.
