From Miami to Marbella: Reserve Cup Expands Globally with First International Tournament in Spain

From September 18–20, 2025, Marbella’s iconic Puente Romano Hotel will host the Reserve Cup Marbella, marking the international debut of Reserve Padel’s elite tournament series. Following successful editions in Miami in 2024 and early 2025, this second stop in the 2025 Reserve Cup Series brings the signature blend of top-tier padel and luxury hospitality to Spain’s Costa del Sol — a region deeply rooted in padel history.

Located on the Mediterranean shoreline, Puente Romano isn’t just a resort; it’s a landmark in the evolution of padel. Home to one of the country's earliest major padel clubs, the venue has previously hosted prestigious events like the World Padel Tour. Now, it becomes the stage for a new chapter in the sport’s global rise.

Led by Founder and CEO Wayne Boich and Honorary Chairman Jimmy Butler, Reserve Padel is pushing the boundaries of the sport through innovation, luxury, and competition. “Marbella has always been a dream location for the Reserve Padel,” said Boich. “This tournament is about more than just elite competition—it’s about unforgettable experiences and building a global community around the sport.”

The event will feature two elite teams captained by international stars, competing for a $500,000 USD prize purse, matching the series’ inaugural Miami leg. Confirmed players include some of the sport’s biggest names: Arturo Coello, Agustin Tapia, Alejandro Galán, Miguel Yanguas, Coki Nieto, Pablo Cardona, and Javi Garrido.

“Being part of the Reserve Cup for the first time in Spain is something truly special,” said Coello. “This format gives us the chance to compete at the highest level while enjoying the spirit of the game as a team.”

The experience will go beyond the court. Guests can expect immersive hospitality, VIP lounges, curated entertainment, and gourmet cuisine, all against the backdrop of the Mediterranean. With partners like Moncayo, Red Bull, Sierra Blanca Estates, Discovery Land Company, and Aston Martin, the event is designed to reflect Reserve’s upscale, lifestyle-driven approach to sport.

Marbella Mayor María Ángeles Muñoz praised the event as a key cultural and economic milestone: “It is an honor that our city—recognized as the birthplace of padel—is hosting such a significant event. Reserve Cup brings with it international visibility and reinforces Marbella’s position as a world-class destination for active living.”

With Reserve’s continued expansion and Spain’s passion for padel, Reserve Cup Marbella is shaping up to be more than just a tournament — it’s a landmark moment for the sport’s future.
