From Miami to Florence: Turns the Spotlight Back to Its Roots

Gucci has officially announced that its Cruise 2026 collection will be unveiled in Florence, Italy, at the brand’s historic Archive in Palazzo Settimanni. The show will mark a symbolic return to the city where the House was founded over a century ago.

Located in Florence’s Oltrarno district, Palazzo Settimanni has been part of Gucci’s history since 1953. Originally serving various roles—including workshop, showroom, and factory—the building now houses the Gucci Archive. Since its transformation in 2021, the Archive has functioned as a space where the brand’s heritage is preserved and reinterpreted.

The decision to stage the show at this venue underscores Gucci’s deep ties to Florence’s culture of craftsmanship and innovation. CEO Stefano Cantino emphasized the importance of this return, calling it “both a tribute and a declaration of intent.” He described the Archive as a "living space" that bridges Gucci’s past with its future.

As part of its commitment to local culture, Gucci will also support the 2026 edition of the Estate Fiorentina cultural program and contribute to the redevelopment of Parco delle Cascine.

Florence’s civic leaders praised the announcement, framing it as a significant cultural and economic moment for the city. They highlighted Gucci’s lasting connection to its roots and the brand’s ongoing support for the local artisan community.

The Cruise 2026 presentation is set to be more than a fashion show—it is a reaffirmation of Gucci’s identity and a celebration of the city that shaped it.
