Three-time Grand Slam champion and former world No. 1, Andy Murray, has been granted a wildcard into the 2021 Miami Open presented by Itaú, March 22-April 4 at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, FL.

"It is exciting to see Andy back in Miami," said James Blake, Miami Open Tournament Director. "As someone who has had to battle back from injury during his career, I understand and respect all the hard work Andy has put in to get back on tour."

Murray, who last played the Miami Open in 2016, is a two-time champion of the event having won the title in 2009 and 2013. In addition, he reached the event final in 2012 and 2015.

The Scottish legend has won three career Grand Slam titles including the US Open in 2012 and Wimbledon in 2013 and 2016. He is also the first person to win two Olympic Gold Medals in singles with victories in London 2012 and Rio 2016.

He has won 46 career ATP singles titles and ascended to the World No. 1 ranking on November 7, 2016, a spot he held for 36 weeks. In 2015, he led Great Britton to its first Davis Cup title since 1936.
