FORM has announced the launch of FORM Academy, a research-driven educational lecture series designed to examine the designers and cultural systems that have shaped modern fashion history. The inaugural series explores the life and legacy of Alexander McQueen, tracing his early life and formative training through a chronological lens.

The debut of FORM Academy features research backed by Lead Archivist and PhD candidate Cyana Djoher. Future episodes are set to feature guest lecturers, including prominent historians, archivists, and fashion industry figures. The series is structured to document the intellectual and cultural foundations of fashion’s most influential figures, combining archival imagery and primary sources with deep contextual analysis.
“FORM was created to document, contextualize, and activate fashion through provenance, archival context, and recirculation,” said Eric Schiabel and Dana Melnychenko, Co-Founders of FORM. “FORM Academy builds on that foundation by synthesizing research, collections, and historical context to examine designers and their work chronologically, making fashion’s intellectual history more accessible.”
By bridging the gap between traditional academic scholarship and fragmented digital media, FORM Academy provides a specialized platform for collectors, designers, and cultural audiences to engage with fashion history. The program aims to preserve and present the material that defines the industry's evolution.
