Florida Grand Opera is preparing to launch SCENE, a new print magazine that will debut within weeks as the company’s first print publication.

SCENE will feature coverage of culture, fashion, design, travel, and the company’s season programming, presented through the perspective of Florida Grand Opera’s stage productions.

A highlight of the inaugural issue will be a feature on Mexican tenor Arturo Chacón-Cruz, who returns to Florida Grand Opera as Edgardo in Lucia di Lammermoor, the role that introduced Luciano Pavarotti to American audiences at the company in 1965.

Chacón-Cruz, a tenor who has appeared at La Scala and the Metropolitan Opera and has been named GQ Mexico’s Man of the Year, is also an entrepreneur with his own tequila brand and an advocate for music education and celiac research.

Florida Grand Opera notes that Chacón-Cruz has recorded a personal message for audiences, and additional artist stories and messages are planned to be shared throughout the season.

Businesses interested in advertising in SCENE magazine can contact Florida Grand Opera’s advancement office by email for further information.
