Florida Grand Opera to Launch New Print Magazine SCENE Featuring Tenor Arturo Chacón-Cruz
Florida Grand Opera is preparing to release SCENE, a new print magazine that will debut in the coming weeks and present the company’s season in a dedicated publication.
SCENE is described as a print statement that will feature culture, fashion, design, travel, and Florida Grand Opera’s season program, all framed through the visual and musical perspective of the company’s stage productions.
One of the magazine’s first highlighted features focuses on tenor Arturo Chacón-Cruz, who returns to Florida Grand Opera to sing Edgardo in Lucia di Lammermoor, the role that introduced Luciano Pavarotti to American audiences on the same stage in 1965. Chacón-Cruz has performed at major houses including La Scala and the Metropolitan Opera, has been named GQ Mexico’s Man of the Year, and is noted for his entrepreneurial work in tequila as well as his advocacy for music education and celiac research.
Chacón-Cruz has recorded a personal message for audiences that will accompany the feature, and Florida Grand Opera plans to share additional stories and messages from artists and creative leaders throughout the season as part of the SCENE initiative.
