Florida Grand Opera Brings Two Major Productions to Broward Center in 2027
Florida Grand Opera has announced two large-scale opera events for subscribers at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts in Fort Lauderdale during its upcoming seasons, led by new stagings of Mozart and Verdi works and supported by additional add-on productions in Miami.
The company will present Mozart’s Don Giovanni at the Adrienne Arsht Center’s Ziff Ballet Opera House in Miami on January 30 and 31 and February 2, 2027, followed by Broward Center performances at the Au-Rene Theater on February 18 and 20, 2027.
Later in the season, Florida Grand Opera will mark its 85th anniversary with Viva Verdi!, an immersive concert dedicated to Giuseppe Verdi featuring the full chorus and orchestra, internationally recognized soloists and staged effects, at the Broward Center’s Au-Rene Theater on May 1, 2027.
Miami add-on productions include Donizetti’s Lucia di Lammermoor at the Adrienne Arsht Center on November 14, 15 and 17, 2026, and Verdi’s Nabucco at the same venue on April 17, 18 and 20, 2027, with subscription renewals and new packages available through Florida Grand Opera’s subscription portal.
