Florida Grand Opera Announces 2026–27 Season in Miami and Fort Lauderdale

Florida Grand Opera has announced its 2026–27 season featuring new stagings of Lucia di Lammermoor, Don Giovanni, and Nabucco, along with a one-night Verdi concert in Miami and Fort Lauderdale.



The season opens in Miami with Gaetano Donizetti’s Lucia di Lammermoor at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County, Ziff Ballet Opera House. The production, with a libretto by Salvadore Cammarano, will be presented on November 14, 2026 at 7:00 PM, November 15, 2026 at 3:00 PM, and November 17, 2026 at 8:00 PM.


Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Don Giovanni, set to a libretto by Lorenzo Da Ponte, follows in Miami at the Adrienne Arsht Center’s Ziff Ballet Opera House on January 30, 2027 at 7:00 PM, January 31, 2027 at 3:00 PM, and February 2, 2027 at 8:00 PM. The production then moves to Fort Lauderdale’s Broward Center for the Performing Arts, Au-Rene Theater, for performances on February 18, 2027 at 7:30 PM and February 20, 2027 at 7:30 PM.


Giuseppe Verdi’s Nabucco, with a libretto by Temistocle Solera, is scheduled for Miami at the Adrienne Arsht Center’s Ziff Ballet Opera House on April 17, 2027 at 7:00 PM, April 18, 2027 at 3:00 PM, and April 20, 2027 at 8:00 PM. The season also includes a one-night Verdi tribute concert at the Broward Center’s Au-Rene Theater in Fort Lauderdale on May 1, 2027 at 7:30 PM, featuring selected arias and ensembles with Florida Grand Opera’s chorus and orchestra.
