Florida Grand Opera has announced its 2026–27 season, presenting three full productions and a Verdi gala across Miami and Fort Lauderdale.

The season opens with Gaetano Donizetti’s Lucia di Lammermoor, with a libretto by Salvadore Cammarano, at the Adrienne Arsht Center’s Ziff Ballet Opera House in Miami. Set in the Scottish Highlands, the opera follows Lucia and Edgardo, lovers from rival families whose relationship collapses under political pressure, leading to Lucia’s famous mad scene and a tragic conclusion. Performances are scheduled for November 14, 2026 at 7:00 PM, November 15, 2026 at 3:00 PM, and November 17, 2026 at 8:00 PM.

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Don Giovanni, with a libretto by Lorenzo Da Ponte, returns to the Arsht Center in Miami on January 30, 2027 at 7:00 PM, January 31, 2027 at 3:00 PM, and February 2, 2027 at 8:00 PM, before moving to the Broward Center’s Au-Rene Theater in Fort Lauderdale on February 18 and 20 at 7:30 PM. The production traces the downfall of the title character, whose refusal to repent after a trail of seductions and violence culminates in a supernatural reckoning.

Giuseppe Verdi’s Nabucco, with a libretto by Temistocle Solera, is set for the Arsht Center’s Ziff Ballet Opera House in Miami on April 17, 2027 at 7:00 PM, April 18, 2027 at 3:00 PM, and April 20, 2027 at 8:00 PM. The work portrays the Babylonian king’s conquest of Jerusalem and the exile of the Hebrews, focusing on power struggles within his court and the path to redemption that follows betrayal and conflict.

The season also includes a one-night Verdi tribute at the Broward Center’s Au-Rene Theater in Fort Lauderdale on May 1, 2027 at 7:30 PM. The concert will feature an immersive program of Verdi arias performed by international soloists, Florida Grand Opera’s chorus and orchestra, and selections from La traviata, Rigoletto, Aida, Nabucco, Il trovatore, Don Carlos, Otello and other works, marking the company’s 85th anniversary season.

Subscriptions for the upcoming season are now available through Florida Grand Opera’s box office and website. Audience members can renew online or purchase a new subscription for the 2026–27 lineup.
