Florida Grand Opera has announced a 2026–2027 season that brings new stagings of Italian opera classics to Miami and Fort Lauderdale, with performances at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County and the Broward Center for the Performing Arts.

In Miami, Gaetano Donizetti’s Lucia di Lammermoor will open the season at the Adrienne Arsht Center’s Ziff Ballet Opera House, with performances scheduled for November 14, 2026 at 7:00 p.m., November 15, 2026 at 3:00 p.m., and November 17, 2026 at 8:00 p.m. The production follows the doomed love between Lucia and Edgardo in the Scottish Highlands, culminating in the opera’s celebrated mad scene.

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Don Giovanni will return to the same Miami venue later in the season, with performances on January 30, 2027 at 7:00 p.m., January 31, 2027 at 3:00 p.m., and February 2, 2027 at 8:00 p.m. The opera traces the title character’s trail of seduction and violence, leading to a final reckoning in one of opera’s most dramatic endings.

The Broward Center for the Performing Arts’ Au-Rene Theater in Fort Lauderdale will host Don Giovanni on February 18 and 20, both at 7:30 p.m., followed by Viva Verdi! on May 1, 2027 at 7:30 p.m., an immersive concert dedicated to Giuseppe Verdi’s music that will feature Florida Grand Opera’s full chorus and orchestra, international soloists, and staged selections from works such as La traviata, Aida, Il trovatore and Nabucco, including a family-focused rendition of the Triumphal March from Aida that is described as animal-friendly and PETA-approved.

Subscriptions for the season can be renewed or purchased through Florida Grand Opera’s ticketing portal. Existing subscribers may renew online and new audiences can purchase subscriptions through the same site.
