Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show

The Marine Industries Association of South Florida was established in 1961 to promote the region's maritime growth. Today, their Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show generates a staggering $1.778 billion in statewide economic output. At Miami Living, we consider this monumental event essential for navigating the luxury marine lifestyle. Read on to discover everything you need for the 2026 show.

Dates & Primary Locations

Dates: October 28 to November 1, 2026.

Locations: The show spans seven distinct venues across 90 acres.

  • Bahia Mar Yachting Center: The operational headquarters, featuring a high density of exhibitors, floating docks, and luxury motor yachts.

  • Superyacht Village (Pier Sixty-Six South): Reserved for the absolute apex of the marine market, hosting the largest and most valuable vessels.

  • Las Olas Marina: Showcases brokerage yachts up to 200 feet and features a new floating pickleball court.

  • Broward County Convention Center: Serves as the primary transportation hub, displaying vessels up to 50 feet and hosting family activities.

Logistics & Yacht Boarding Rules

An anticipated attendance exceeding 100,000 visitors requires strategic planning. Parking at the Broward County Convention Center is highly recommended, offering over 3,000 spaces at a flat rate of $20 to $40 per day. To move between venues, attendees can use the Water Taxi ($15 for a 1-Day pass) or complimentary shuttles. New for 2026, Wave Helicopters offers private 10-minute aerial tours for $600 per flight.

Strict etiquette applies when boarding vessels. Purchasing a General Admission ticket does not guarantee the right to board any yacht on display. Access to brokerage and superyachts is heavily gated and requires pre-qualification or a pre-booked appointment. If invited aboard, attendees must remove their shoes to protect teak decks. Large backpacks and strollers are often prohibited, and you must ask permission before taking interior photographs.

Participating Brands & Notable Debuts

The 2026 show serves as the global launchpad for over 50 boat debuts, featuring vessels from legacy builders like Feadship, Benetti, Sanlorenzo, Sunseeker, and Westport. Key superyachts on display include the 44-meter expedition yacht Heeus (chartering from $245,000 per week) and the 58-meter Carpe Diem.

Educational Programming & Family Activities

The show features robust intellectual programming, including the debut of Refit X panels focused on yacht repair and modernization. At Superyacht Village, industry leaders will discuss the evolving American charter market and how superyachts can support coral restoration.

For younger attendees, the Convention Center hosts "The Blue Wild," featuring hands-on marine conservation exhibits, alongside Don Dingman's "Hook the Future" fishing clinics.
