FIFA World Cup 26™ Group Stage Matchups Announced for Miami

Greater Miami and Miami Beach will host four Group Stage matches during the FIFA World Cup 26™, following FIFA’s announcement of the nations scheduled to compete in Miami. The matches will be played at Miami Stadium, known globally as Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, as part of the seven total World Cup games the destination will host—from the Group Stage through the Quarterfinal and the Bronze Final.

The newly announced Group Stage fixtures in Miami are:


  • June 15, 2026 – Saudi Arabia vs. Uruguay at 6:00 p.m. ET

  • June 21, 2026 – Uruguay vs. Cabo Verde at 6:00 p.m. ET

  • June 24, 2026 – Brazil vs. Scotland at 6:00 p.m. ET

  • June 27, 2026 – Colombia vs. Portugal at 7:30 p.m. ET


These matches confirm Miami as a central stage for the opening round of the FIFA World Cup 26™, welcoming teams from four continents and reinforcing the region’s long-standing connection to global football.


Portugal arrives in Miami as one of Europe’s most consistent World Cup contenders, marking its seventh consecutive tournament appearance. Colombia returns to the World Cup for the first time since 2018, entering the competition with renewed momentum following a high-scoring qualifying campaign. Scotland makes its first World Cup appearance in 28 years, ending a long absence from the tournament after a dramatic qualification run.

Saudi Arabia continues a strong modern World Cup presence, reaching its seventh tournament in the past nine editions, while Uruguay—two-time World Cup champions—brings one of the sport’s most storied international legacies back to Miami. Cabo Verde rounds out the group as one of Africa’s fastest-rising football nations, qualifying for its third World Cup after a standout performance in CAF qualifying.
