Feeding South Florida will host its 15th Annual Outrun Hunger 5K on Saturday, April 4, at Vista View Park in Davie. The event invites runners, walkers, families, and community leaders to raise funds and awareness to end hunger across the region.

The signature 5K is part of Feeding South Florida’s 45th-anniversary celebration, marking over four decades of providing food to families in need. Funds raised from the event will support the organization's mission to offer immediate access to nutritious food, lead advocacy efforts, and provide educational programming.

According to the organization, over 1.2 million individuals in South Florida are currently food-insecure. Factors such as inflation, strained supply chains, rising fuel prices, and increased housing costs have contributed to one in nine residents remaining uncertain about their next meal.

Registration for the event begins at 6:30 a.m., with the walk and run starting at 7:30 a.m. An award ceremony will immediately follow the race. JM Family Enterprises serves as the presenting sponsor for the event.

Participants can join as individuals or teams. Those unable to attend the physical event can still support the cause by creating a personalized fundraising page. Registration is open to residents across Palm Beach, Broward, Miami-Dade, and Monroe counties via the event website.
