Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden Presents "Bugging Out: A Bugs World But Bigger!"

Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden is about to get a lot buggier this summer as it unveils its highly anticipated exhibition, "Bugging Out: A Bugs World but BIGGER!" Running from May 23 through September 28, this spectacular showcase invites visitors to explore the fascinating world of insects through towering robotic creatures, live encounters, and immersive experiences.

This 2025 edition will feature a brand-new walk-through butterfly pavilion where guests can wander among free-flying Blue Morpho butterflies and other exotic species. Renowned entomologist Martin will lead daily educational talks and hands-on demonstrations, bringing visitors face-to-face with remarkable creatures, including the elegant Orchid Mantis and impressive Madagascar Cockroaches.

Visitors can look forward to a robust calendar of programming throughout the summer, including the weekly "Bugs on Parade" event every Sunday, featuring live insect displays and theatrical presentations. Select weekends will offer "Crime Bug Detective" tours, teaching families about forensic entomology through interactive mystery trails.


As the sun sets, the garden will transform during special "Wander & Glow" evenings, where illuminated sculptures and twinkling lights create a magical nocturnal experience. Adults can enjoy "Bug Bites & Brews," a 21+ garden party featuring insect-inspired cuisine and craft beers, while families will delight in "Big Bug Cinema" outdoor movie nights showcasing insect-themed films under the stars.

Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden 

Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden is an 83-acre tropical paradise located in the Heart of Miami. Founded and named after Dr. David Fairchild, one of the most famous plant explorers in history, the Garden’s outstanding botanical collection has been a fundamental part of the institution’s existence since 1938.
