Dragon-Nites: A Magical September at Fairchild Botanic Garden
Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden is thrilled to announce an enchanting summer event that will captivate visitors of all ages. From Saturday, May 27 to Sunday, October 1, the garden will be home to sixteen (16) magnificent dragons and mythical creatures, offering a truly unforgettable experience.
Step into a world of wonder as smoke-breathing dragons roam the grounds, ready to share their legendary tales and roar with awe-inspiring power. Families and children will be delighted with an array of activities designed to ignite their imagination. Scavenger hunts, dragon quests, and the chance to become knights and dragon royalty await young adventurers. Here is a of the experiences available.
"Dragoneers Backcountry Quest" - Embark on a captivating journey through Fairchild's Backcountry Trails, where ancient realms come alive in the presence of majestic dragons and other fantastical beings. This interactive adventure, accessible through the Fairchild App or by scanning codes along the trail, will immerse participants in a world where imagination knows no bounds. It's an opportunity to encounter breathtaking dragons and mythical creatures that have chosen Fairchild as their Summer home. Don't forget to bring your headphones for an enhanced experience. The "Dragoneers Backcountry Quest" is included in the price of admission.
"A Dragoneers Waterquest" - offers an additional experience that requires a separate ticket purchase. This water-themed quest takes participants on a mission to keep dragon eggs cool and safe from human handlers. Navigate through watering holes and refill stations, engaging in thrilling challenges that involve using water blasters to spray water over nearby dragon eggs.
Earn unique badges to display on your Official Dragoneer Certificate proudly. Following the quest, join the grand celebration at The Shop or the Pop-up Shop, where you will be recognized as dragon royalty and an official dragoneer. Each "A Dragoneers Waterquest" ticket, priced at $9.95, includes a water gun, water-inspired challenges, and the Waterquest Certificate. Tickets can be purchased at the entrance of the Backcountry Trails. Once you become an Official Dragoneer, you can bring back your water blasters all summer long to enjoy the adventure as often as you'd like.
“Princess Tales & Tea on the Terrace" - On select days, from May 27 to September 4, between 11:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., guests can join a beloved Princess in her tower for an exclusive experience. Guests will be treated to an hour of delightful tales, tea, and the opportunity to create their very own princess crown with crafts. Immerse yourself in a world of enchantment and make memories that will last a lifetime. Tickets for "Princess Tales & Tea on the Terrace" can be purchased separately and are priced at $24.95 for kids and $15.95 for adults aged 13 and over. Limited to 30 guests per tea time, one adult per group is required.
“Dragon-Nites” On the evenings of Saturday, September 9, Friday, September 15, & Saturday, September 23, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., attendees have the opportunity to embark on a venture through the backcountry trails of the Garden. During these nights, the world of Dragons & Mythical Creatures awakens, enticing exploration after dark. Attendees are welcome to have their children adorned in attire befitting knights, princesses, or explorers, creating an immersive experience as they engage with the tales of these time-honored colossal beings. To navigate the trails as the sun descends, it's recommended to bring personal flashlights.
